Service & Installation Apprentice
AES Hearth & Patio is a leading retailer of Alternative Heating, Custom Fireplaces, and Outdoor Living Products, offered from a variety of manufacturers. We have showroom locations in Newville, Camp Hill and Burnham, with an extensive Service & Installation Department in Newville and Burnham.
We are privileged to work with a variety of customers, and as our business continues to grow, we are looking to add a new member to our service team!
We have an immediate opportunity for a Service & Installation Apprentice to assist our Lead Technicians with field installations and service work. This position offers hands-on training to become a Certified Lead Technician at AES Hearth & Patio. This position will also spend regular time in the warehouse and assisting with grounds maintenance.
This person will…
· Assist with installations and service of stoves, inserts, and fireplaces & NOW Hot tubs.
· Assist with chimney installation, repair, and maintenance
· Assist with deliveries of equipment and wood pellet fuel
· Assist with warehouse organization & grounds maintenance
We are looking for…
· Field service and/or installation experience
· Ability to use most power tools with some knowledge of basic construction
· Ability to work at heights (from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and on rooves)
· Ability to lift heavy equipment consistently
· Must be able to work well in a team environment
· Willingness to learn and capable of being a future Lead Technician
· Ability to use a computer, know how to use a smartphone and tablet
· Construction, finish carpentry, or masonry experience (preferred, but not required)
· Forklift Operation & DOT Physical (preferred, but not required)

This person will…
· clean and troubleshoot Heat-n-Glo, Harman, Quadrafire, Hearthstone, and other manufacturers sold and/or previously sold and serviced by AES
· install gas, pellet, and wood stoves, inserts, and fireplaces
· safely setup and work at heights from ladders, scaffolding, lifts and roofs
We are looking for…
· friendly and team-oriented approach
· excellent written and verbal communication skills
· attention to detail
· two or more years of experience as a Lead Technician and Hearth Appliance Installer
· current Certification or ability to pass NFI Gas Certification within 1 year
· experience using computer-based invoicing software (we use Evosus software from a mobile device to make notes and take payments)

Sales & Showroom Manager

We have current showroom locations in Camp Hill, Burnham, and Newville, with an extensive Service & Installation Department in Newville and Burnham. This new role is for a New Showroom to be completed by September.

We have an immediate opportunity for a Sales & Showroom Manager to sell and design Hearth & Outdoor Living products and services as well as manage our Brand-New Chambersburg showroom.
This person will…
- train at our Newville and Camp Hill showrooms until the Chambersburg Showroom is completed in late-August.
- manage 6500+ square foot retail store with 2 additional Sales Associates
- responsible for meeting or exceeding sales goals for Chambersburg showroom
- follow a structured sales process from the point of greeting to the completion of work in the client’s home
- inside and outside sales and design of Hearth systems and Outdoor Living products
- sales of Accessories & Services offered at AES
- assist in maintaining showroom cleanliness and organization
We are looking for…
- friendly and team-oriented approach
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- attention to detail
- three or more years of experience as a manager in a specialty retail sales & service environment with proven success
- five or more years of experience as a Sales Associate & Designer in a high-ticket retail sales and/or service environment with notable success in sales
- design and sketching experience with home construction materials knowledge
- hearth and hardscape design and sales and/or outdoor living products experience (preferred, but not required)
- experience operating a cash register and company Point-of Sale/Accounting software system accurately
- strong proficiency using Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
