Hearthstone: Stowe 8325 - NG

A compact, easy cast iron gas stove, offered in oyster enamel.

Quick Facts

• Heating Capacity: Up to 1,200 sq ft (HearthStone’s stated figure).
• Fuel: Natural gas; propane conversion kit included.
• Controls: Standing pilot; manual, thermostat, or optional remote.
• Fan: Optional.

Who It’s For

You want the look and warmth of a cast iron stove without wood to haul or ash to carry. The HearthStone Stowe gives you that at the touch of a control. Choose a lightweight steel gas stove instead and you give up the cast iron that holds and radiates heat.

What Makes It Special

The Stowe is compact, easy to use, and reliable, and its small size and style led HearthStone to offer it in a unique oyster enamel as well as brown, basil, and matte black.

It burns cleanly and uses a cast iron heat exchanger to send the heat into your home, not up the chimney. Run it manually, with a thermostat, or with the optional remote; its standing pilot shuts off after 7 days of inactivity.

HearthStone certifies it for mobile homes and includes safety barrier screens.

Possible Downsides

• The blower and remote are optional. The Bristol DX includes both.

If you want cast iron gas heat without the work of wood, the HearthStone Stowe is the right decision. The room warms up on cue, and the fire looks right doing it.

Choose matte black or oyster, brown, or basil enamel, and add the convection blower and remote control kit.
