Chimney Repair and Services for Camp Hill and Newville, PA
In addition to a selection of fireplaces, fire pits, and fire tables, AES Hearth & Patio offers chimney repair and services. If you’re purchasing a new wood-burning fireplace for your home, regular maintenance is necessary. Missing tiles, cracked tiles in the flue, and any other problems that may arise all pose a serious threat to both the quality of air in your home and the safety of your family.
Most chimneys consist of several parts, including a smoke chamber, a chimney liner, a damper, heat-resistant bricks, a slab, and a screen. In order for your chimney to work correctly and funnel fumes, debris, and embers from your fire out of your home, all of these parts need to be in working order. Common chimney problems include broken bricks or tiles, crushed or fallen slabs, and defective dampers. All of these problems need to be addressed as soon as possible to ensure the safety of you and your family.
A new chimney liner is a great way to address problems with your current chimney’s efficiency without altering the structure of the chimney itself. A chimney liner is a piece of stainless steel tubing that goes inside of the chimney flue. The liner is airtight so it efficiently directs smoke out of your chimney. Chemicals produced by the fire, such as carbon monoxide and sulfur dioxide, can cause structural damage to the materials of your chimney over time. The chimney liner protects the masonry of your chimney from these acidic effects of combustion.
Take Care of Your Chimney
It is important to keep your chimney well-maintained regardless of how often you use your fireplace. Clean chimneys preserve your home’s air quality and reduce the potential risk for fires. Have your chimney cleaned and inspected for potential problems by a professional at least once a year.
Terms & Limitations:
- AES requires all appliances & chimneys to meet manufacturer, state, local and National Fireplace Protection Agency codes & requirements. All services start with an inspection. Chimney Cleaning Keeps Your Home and Fireplace Safe

We strongly encourage routine maintenance to be scheduled in the spring and summer
We want to educate new customers who inquire about or request a chimney cleaning that we require a level 2 chimney inspection to be performed first to determine the condition of the chimney. A level 2 inspection provides an in-depth analysis of the condition of the chimney, which may reveal hidden hazards, making the chimney unsafe to use. Our Certified Chimney Professionals perform these inspections with a video scanner, examining internal joints for voids or cracks. When we gain a new customer, we take seriously that if we begin to service your unit or chimney, it must first be safety compliant. If it is not, we must bring your chimney or current unit installation up to code before we continue with any other service. The cost of chimney inspections
Once everything passes inspection and meets code, we can then sweep your chimney year after year. You will receive a discounted rate if you schedule in the spring or summer months. This includes a level 1 visual inspection as a part of that service.
Because we are a full-service fireplace and hearth retailer we understand the intricacies and requirements of each unit that we install and service, ensuring that all installs meet required safety codes. We have developed our expertise through years of installing and servicing our customers’ hearths, and we take care of your home as if it were our own.
